Process
Take the following steps to accomplish this task successfully:
-
Surf the Internet (45 minutes)
Click on your literary work. You will find links to several relevant websites useful for your investigation.- Edgar Allan Poe, Short Stories
- Emily Brontë, Wuthering Heights
- Arthur Miller, Death of a Salesman
- Ernest Hemingway, The Old Man and the Sea
- George Orwell, Animal Farm
- Michael Cunningham, The Hours
-
Organise the information (45 minutes)
Elaborate the material you have found on the Internet, such as pictures, photos, maps and create a poster or a Power Point presentation to use while presenting. Don't forget to include information about the writer, the events that affected his/her life and the literary work. You must prepare a sheet for your classmates: specify the topic of your presentation, write the definition of some difficult words, and at least three questions or games, such as a crossword, about the content. Organise who is going to say what in your group. Remember that organisation and collaboration are important.
-
Oral presentation (90 minutes)
Present your findings to the rest of the class. Remember to speak clearly without reading. The other groups listen, fill in an evaluation form and vote the most interesting literary work to be read next September.
